How do I edit an FAQ item that is already approved?

Hover over the item in the Public FAQ list and click Edit. Change the question or answer and click Save. The new text replaces the old one and is re-indexed for AI search, so the chat widget starts using the updated wording. After editing, the item's status shows as Approved (edited).
